Our History

The Office’s history in a few dates

9 March 1794: Creation of the Notary’s Office

It was at this time that Maître Jacques SCHAEFFER was appointed to the office. From this date until 13 December 1942, fifteen notaries succeeded one another at La Wantzenau’s notary’s office in the French Department Bas-Rhin.

From 1942 to 1952

The office had been declared vacant by the Minister of Justice. Then, on 15 January 1952, after having applied, Maître Pierre KRANTZ was appointed to the office as a notary in La Wantzenau.
